ODSC East 2023 is just a few weeks away and we’ve been hard at work finalizing the conference schedule. We already have 100+ hands-on training sessions, expert-led workshops, and talks confirmed, with many more sessions coming soon. Monday, May 8th – Day 0: Pre-Conference Bootcamp Day

The first unofficial day of ODSC East 2023 is the virtual-only Pre-Conference Bootcamp Day. Mini-Bootcamp and VIP Pass holders will have access to four live virtual sessions on data science fundamentals. Confirmed sessions include:

An Introduction to Data Wrangling with SQL with Sheamus McGovern, Software Architect, Data Engineer, and AI expert

Programming with Data: Python and Pandas with Daniel Gerlanc, Sr. Director – Data Science & ML Engineering, Ampersand

Introduction to Machine Learning with Julia Lintern, Data Science Instructor, Metis

Mathematics for Data Science with Eric Eager, PhD, VP of Research and Development, SumerSports

For those with In-Person Mini-Bootcamp or VIP Passes, who will be in Boston Monday night, we are also hosting our first Mini-Bootcamp dinner. Join us to meet and connect with your fellow Mini-Bootcamp attendees. Space is limited, so be sure to register early if you would like to join. 

Tuesday, May 9th – Day 1

Tuesday, May 9th, marks the first official day of ODSC East 2023. We will kick the conference off with Keynote talks from some of the best and brightest minds in data science and AI. Both virtual and in-person attendees will have a wide range of training sessions, workshops, and talks to choose from. You’ll also have the chance to learn about the tradeoffs of building AI from scratch or buying it from a third party at the AI Expo and Demo Hall, where Microsoft Azure, Oracle, Taipy, and many more will be showcasing their products and services. 

Day 1 will also be your only chance to learn how AI is transforming industries like Biotech and Pharma, Retail, and more from leading experts in AI and business at the Ai X Business and Innovation Summit. Learn more here.

After the conference closes for the day, in-person attendees will have the opportunity to connect with their peers at our Networking events, including the ODSC Networking Reception, where you can connect with your peers over drinks and small bites,  and Dinner with Data Scientists. 

Wednesday, May 10th – Day 2

Day 2 starts off strong with virtual and in-person hands-on training sessions, workshops, and talks on creative AI, NLP, and machine learning. 

Day 2 also marks the last day you can meet with the organizations and startups shaping the future of AI and data science at the AI Expo and Demo Hall. Stop by for live demonstrations of their products and services and gather the data you need to make that build vs. buy decision. 

In-person attendees will also have the opportunity to meet with expert speakers at our Meet the Speakers event. Finally, we will close out the day with the ODSC Networking Reception, returning for a second day for the first time!  

Thursday, May 11th  – Day 3

The last day of ODSCEast 2023 will start the day off strong with Keynote Speakers, and will continue with hands-on training sessions, expert-led workshops, and talks on key topics and tools. 

We will also be hosting the Ai+ Career Expo for both our in-person and virtual attendees. Join us there to learn about the ins and outs of the data science job market, meet with our hiring partners, and prepare to take the next step in your career.
