Here are some useful resources and guidelines for getting the most out of the virtual conference.

 

 

Virtual Conference FAQs


 

The ODSC Virtual Conference and Expo is an event that will take place exclusively online. All conference presentations are broadcasted via webcast so you can watch from the comfort of your own office or home. You will have the ability to move from presentation to presentation as you see fit, and all the features of an in-person event will still be available (exhibit halls, networking, questions with presenters, downloadable collateral, etc.)

The Virtual Conference will take place from April 14, 2020, to April 17, 2020.

  • Attendees will receive an email with login instructions 3-5 days before the event. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure you can login. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com
  • The conference will start daily at 9 am, Tuesday through Friday so attendees should be logged into the virtual platform and in their virtual sessions by 9:30 am.
  • 4/15/20 – AI Career Expo from 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  • 4/16/20 – AI Expo from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
  • Laptop or personal computer
  • Strong, reliable wifi connection
  • Google Chrome is recommended to run the Virtual Conference platform.
  • Slack must be downloaded for communication.

Yes, the Virtual Conference is accessible via a smartphone or tablet. Please note that you will need to install the GoToWebinar App to be able to watch the sessions from your phone. 

 

 

All sessions will be recorded during the event and will be made available to attendees approximately 1-2 days after the event and be available for 12 months after release. Recordings will also include the session slides.

If your pass includes access to some / all of the recordings, you will receive instructions for accessing them via email following the conference.


Please refrain from personal recording as speakers may want to edit the recording before release.

Registration & Logging in to the Virtual Conference

  • Attendees will receive an email with login instructions 3-5 days before the event. We encourage all attendees to log into the platform before the conference starts to make sure you can log in. If you have trouble logging in, please email info@odsc.com
  • The conference will start daily at 9 am, Tuesday through Friday so attendees should be logged into the virtual platform and in their virtual sessions by 9:30 am. 
  • Make sure you are using the SAME email you used to purchase your ticket on Eventbrite/register for the conference.

Schedule, Sessions & Conference Passes Information

  • You can explore the speakers, topics, and schedule before the conference here
  • During the conference, you’ll be able to view the agenda once you have logged into the Virtual Conference platform.
  • TRAINING & ON DEMAND 4-DAY PASS (TUESDAY, WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY): Access to all of the Tuesday and Wednesday workshops and training sessions. On Thursday and Friday, access multiple tracks that include keynotes and all breakout sessions, as well as multiple remote speaker tracks plus on demand recordings of all sessions from Thursday and Friday. Access the AI Career Expo on Wednesday and the AI Expo on Thursday. You also get immediate On Demand access to all recorded sessions including talks, keynotes, AIX business, training, workshops etc. 
  • TRAINING & ON DEMAND 3-DAY PASS (WEDNESDAY, THURSDAY & FRIDAY): Access to all of the Wednesday workshops and training sessions. On Thursday and Friday, access multiple tracks that include keynotes and all breakout sessions, as well as multiple remote speaker tracks plus on demand recordings of all sessions from Thursday and Friday.  Access the interactive AI Career Expo on Wednesday and the AI Expo on Thursday. You also get immediate On Demand access to all recorded sessions including talks, keynotes, AIX business, training, workshops etc. 
  • LIVESTREAM & ON DEMAND PASS (THURSDAY & FRIDAY): On Thursday and Friday, access multiple tracks that include 6 keynotes and all breakout sessions, as well as multiple remote speaker tracks plus on demand recordings of all sessions from Thursday and Friday. Access the interactive the AI Expo on Thursday. On Demand recording will be accessible immediately with continued access for over 12 months. This does not include Tuesday and Wednesday workshop or training livestream or on demand sessions. 
  • LIVESTREAM ONLY 2-DAY PASS (THURSDAY & FRIDAY): On April 16th & 17th, access multiple tracks that include 6 keynotes and all breakout sessions, as well as multiple remote speaker tracks. Access the interactive the AI Expo on Thursday. On demand recordings are not included.  
  • AI CAREER EXPO PASS ONLY (WEDNESDAY): On April 15, access the AI Career Expo only and connect with over 20+ hiring partners, receive actionable advice from expert mentors, book 1:1 sessions with recruiters and access the Career Talks in the Expo Hall. 
  • AI SOLUTIONS EXPO PASS ONLY (THURSDAY): On April 16, access 35+ virtual booths to learn the latest solutions in AI for Enterprise, attend 30+ interactive virtual demo sessions, virtually network with over 6,500 data scientists and join the most influential Data Science community worldwide. Make lasting professional relationships by being part of this unique community.

  • If you continue having issues, please visit the Info Desk in the Virtual Conference or email info@odsc.com.
  • Attendees can access the breakout talk sessions in the Virtual Auditorium.
  • You can explore the speakers, topics, and schedule before the conference here
  • During the conference, you’ll be able to view the agenda once you have logged into the Virtual Conference platform.
  • Switch tracks by selecting “Auditorium” from the main toolbar and selecting a new session to watch
  • Visit the Virtual Networking Lounge to live chat with other attendees

 

In each Gotowebinar session, there will be a chat box in which you can send messages for speakers to see.

Trainings and Workshops will have separate Slack channels for Q&A during the sessions. Please direct all your questions there.


Attending AI Solutions Showcase Expo 

  • Login to Virtual Conference platform – https://live.odsc.com/.
  • Please check Registration & Logging in to the Virtual Conference.
  • From the virtual lobby, you can click on the Expo Hall or select “AI Expo Hall” from the blue menu bar at the top.

The AI Solutions Expo will take place on Thursday, April 16, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.

  • Visit 60 booths to learn the latest solutions in AI for the Enterprise from the most important players in the AI space.
  • Attend 32 interactive virtual sessions on AI for the Enterprise; AI for Finance, AI for Healthcare and Ai for X.
  • The full AI Solutions Expo exhibitor list is located inside the Virtual AI Expo. To access, please enter the Virtual AI expo.
  • Once inside, the exhibitor list is located in the “Exhibitors Index” box on the lower left side of the screen. 
  • Click on any exhibitor’s name to be brought to their virtual booth to learn more about the company, save handouts and PDFs to your briefcase. 

Attending Career Lab and Expo 

  • Login to Virtual Conference platform – https://live.odsc.com/.
  • Please check Registration & Logging in to the Virtual Conference.
  • From the virtual lobby, you can click on the “Career Hall” or select “Career Expo” from the blue menu bar at the top. 

The AI Career Expo will take place on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 from 10:00 AM – 5:30 PM.
