Abstract: Did you go through a CS degree to spend your day with repetitive, error-prone tasks that can be automated? Who wants to check if is there is a new version of the software, or risk forgetting an urgent security fix? What about reading the instructions for a long sequence of manual steps required to perform an upgrade, change configuration, or add new software? It’s better to spend valuable time understanding how to make your users happy, and then let the automation do it! When two platforms, such as SAS Viya and Red Hat OpenShift can complement each other’s strengths, the result is more than just the sum of the parts.
