Building the Future of LLM Applications – with LangChain and Vector Databases

Abstract:

LLMs are large language models, and they are used to perform various NLP tasks such as text classification, text generation, question answering and more. These LLMs have a limitation: context windows. The models with limited context size can only process a chunk of the text to retrieve relevant answers given a query. Enter vector databases. They can handle vector embeddings - data mappings containing rich semantic information from the original data and help us to augment our model context length capabilities. They are essential to leverage the power of generative Al. As the name suggests, Langchain is the chaining methodology to facilitate integrations between the different components in the solution architecture. This session will dig deeper into each of these segments and will showcase an end-to-end code to run a question-answer retrieval model using the above techniques.
