Bio: 

Lars Kotthoff is an assistant professor of Computer Science at the University of
Wyoming. His research focuses on solving hard AI problems and applying machine
learning to interesting problems in AI and materials engineering. He has made
contributions in the areas of automated parameter tuning, automated machine
learning, algorithm selection for solving hard combinatorial problems, and
applying AI to problems in materials science. Lars is also a frequent
contributor to open-source projects.
