I will draw upon over 8 years of experience as a data analyst in the healthcare industry to share insights from my industrial journey. Additionally, I'll discuss the innovative project I'm currently spearheading, which focuses on leveraging novel approaches to transform data into actionable insights and enhance patient engagement.


Shan Xiao has over 8 years of experience in data analytics within the U.S. Healthcare sector. From population health management to decision support, Shan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to leveraging data-informed strategies to streamline operations in health systems.

With a Bachelor's degree in Finance and Business Analytics Information Systems (BAIS) from the University of Iowa, Shan brings a unique blend of financial acumen and technical expertise to data-related projects. Additionally, Shan holds a license as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), providing invaluable firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities when technology intersects with direct patient care.

As the founder of a new company, NeoSteed, LLC, Shan spearheads data consulting services tailored to mid-small health systems in rural areas while concurrently developing data solutions to nurture healthcare consumerism.

In addition to her work with NeoSteed, LLC, Shan is a regional Support Coordinator at Postpartum Support International. She has dedicated more than three years to providing local support and resources to individuals and families affected by postpartum mood disorders.

Shan is also engaged in collaboration and knowledge-sharing within the local community. As an event organizer for the Boston AI Group of Healthcare, Law, and Education, she works with other amazing AI enthusiasts to bring together industry leaders and innovators to exchange ideas and insights.
